As a Volunteer Coach, you'll work with youth athletes to build their skills, teach sportsmanship, and create a positive, supportive environment that allows kids to grow both in sports and as individuals. Your involvement will not only impact the kids you coach but also contribute to the overall mission of the YMCA to promote healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility. Responsibilities: Head Coach: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of a soccer program, including planning practices, supervising games, teaching fundamentals, and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. Assistant Coach: Works closely with the head coach to improve players’ skills, plan and conduct practices, and prepare for games. Responsibilities include designing drills, coaching techniques, and assisting with in-game strategy. Ensuring a safe, positive, and educational environment for players of all ages. • All volunteers must pass a criminal background check and complete Child Abuse Prevention Training.
To provide a fun, educational, and safe volleyball experience for kids ages 7–12 at the YMCA summer camp, focusing on building volleyball skills, promoting teamwork, enhancing self-confidence, and fostering a positive attitude towards physical fitness and sportsmanship.

Volunteers must help maintain a safe, clean, and supervised camp environment. Please follow staff directions, watch campers carefully, and report concerns right away.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled volunteer shift, please notify us as soon as possible. Advance notice allows staff to adjust coverage and ensures the best experience for campers and families.
