Help Young Athletes Learn, Grow, and Love the Game Volunteer volleyball coaches play an important role in introducing youth to volleyball while helping players develop confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Whether you've coached for years or simply enjoy the sport, we'll provide the support you need to have a successful season. Our goal is to create a positive, developmental experience where every child has the opportunity to learn and improve. Responsibilities Lead one practice each week. Coach your team during weekly matches. Teach volleyball fundamentals including serving, passing, setting, hitting, and teamwork. Foster a positive and encouraging team environment. Communicate with parents regarding schedules and expectations. Promote good sportsmanship and YMCA core values. Help ensure the safety and inclusion of every participant. Time Commitment One evening practice each week (approximately 60 minutes). Weekly matches. Coaches meeting (if applicable). Season length: Approximately 8 weeks. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Passion for helping youth learn and grow. Volleyball experience is helpful but not required. Pass required background screening.
