Northwest YMCA

A Community Advisory Board member is a key volunteer who serves a 3-year term and provides the following functions: • Serves as a positive influence and advocate for the YMCA • Supports the mission and vision of the YMCA • Guide operations, monitor financial performance, and lead fundraising activities • Promote center membership and monitor program participation and quality to achieve Association goals • Provide input regarding center needs and make recommendations to the Association board that relate to their respective center • Advise the center staff in matters pertaining to the management of the center operation and monitor the implementation of board policies at the center • Will serve on at least one committee of the Community Advisory Board • Attendance at most YMCA board functions and other YMCA-related activities is expected
