As a Volunteer Coach, you'll work with youth athletes to build their skills, teach sportsmanship, and create a positive, supportive environment that allows kids to grow both in sports and as individuals. Your involvement will not only impact the kids you coach but also contribute to the overall mission of the YMCA to promote healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility. • Age 3-12-YMCA Sports Complex Responsibilities: Head Coach: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of a soccer program, including planning practices, supervising games, teaching fundamentals, and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. Assistant Coach: Works closely with the head coach to improve players’ skills, plan and conduct practices, and prepare for games. Responsibilities include designing drills, coaching techniques, and assisting with in-game strategy. Ensuring a safe, positive, and educational environment for players of all ages. • All volunteers must pass a criminal background check and complete Child Abuse Prevention Training.
